STEP BY STEP: LINE-X SPRAY-ON BEDLINER APPLICATION

We get a lot of questions about whether or not a spray-on bedliner is the right choice.

To that, we say a LINE-X bedliner is definitely the right choice!

You won’t find better protection for your truck bed. A LINE-X bedliner promises durability, protection from rust, sound-dampening technology, UV protection, a lifetime warranty, and more!

We also get asked if it’s really that important to have a bedliner professionally applied or if a DIY option will do the trick. We never recommend DIY bedliner for several reasons. A DIY job can result in bubbling, peeling, uneven application, and cannot offer the same longevity and protection. You are likely to end up spending more money in the long run by the time you have to pay someone to fix the DIY application.

Now we’d like to take the opportunity to show you why it’s imperative to have your spray-on bedliner professionally installed by a knowledgeable technician at LINE-X of Savannah.

We’ve broken down our bedliner application process into the following steps to show you just how a bedliner should be applied.

1

Step One

First we must ensure your truck is ready for service. We completely clean the truck bed and protect the rest of the truck. We’ll cover every area that isn’t getting sprayed with protective automotive sheeting. This will ensure the exterior of your vehicle stays in perfect condition.

2

Step Two

Next, we remove the tailgate so we can safely spray the truck bed.

3

Step Three

Once your truck is cleaned and taped off, we hand sand the interior of the truck bed and edges, ensuring all uneven surfaces are carefully sanded and scuffed to create a strong bond. Once sanding is complete, we blow out the truck bed and give it a thorough wipe-down to remove all debris

4

Step Four

It is an option to have your rear wheel wells sprayed. If you choose this option, we prep the wheel wells at this point, so they are ready for the protective coating.

5

Step Five

With the protective sheeting applied and the bed sanded, your truck is now ready to be moved into the booth for spraying. We move your truck into an enclosed clean area to begin the application. Using a professional, high-pressure sprayer, we thoroughly spray your truck bed with a protective coating, promising a thick and even coverage.

Because of the rapid cure process of the coating, we can apply several layers in a short amount of time. A final protective and finishing coating is then applied to the truck bed.

6

Step Six

If you’ve decided to have the wheel wells sprayed, we do a final check to ensure the wells are prepped and ready for spraying

7

Step Seven

We apply LINE-X to the wheel wells, giving them the ultimate in protection.

8

Step Eight

Your truck is almost done! Once the spray on bedliner has dried, we begin the finishing process. We first remove all tape edging, which separates the masking from the liner. This tape provides nice, clean edges for your truck bedliner.

Once the tape has been removed, we can take off the rest of the protective paper. Before you can drive your truck out of the shop, we must reinstall any accessories that were removed prior to spraying. We’ll give your truck one final wipe down, and you’re off with a high-quality, durable protective covering for your truck bed.

9

Step Nine

It’s done! Your truck is now ready to take you on any adventure you can imagine-without the worry of scratches, rust, or damage to your truck bed.

Bring your truck into LINE-X of Savannah for the highest quality bedliner.

We’ll get your truck in and out with a perfect application.
